Woodend Rotary Hosted a HALT ‘Save Your Bacon’ breakfast on May 10th.
Woodend Rotary, making a difference in your community recently hosted the HALT (Hope Assistance Local Tradies) breakfast this morning with Jeremy Forbes from HALT and tradies lining up for the bacon and egg rolls, coffee, tea, juice and fresh fruit.
Great to see the community support and from MP Mary-Ann Thomas, local councillors Jennifer Anderson and John Connor, Dr Bills and Ferguson and Mental health Nurse Louise from Brooke St Medical centre, as well Gina from Cobaw health. Thanks to Steven from Mitre 10 Wooded for the use of the store.
‘HALT’s ‘Save your Bacon’ brekkies are an important initiative to bring the community together to talk about the tough stuff. Let’s face it, no matter how strong we are – life happens. Someone close to us dies, we have relationship issues, we’re lonely, our business goes through a rough patch, we struggle to get out of bed and don’t know why. When things aren’t quite right, it’s good to know where to turn for help. Its’ great that HALT are showing people where they can turn to for help.’
